▾The FTXV50WVMA pairs with the RXV50WVMA outdoor unit for 5.0kW rated cooling and 6.0kW rated heating, modulating from 1.1kW up to 6.7kW in cooling. The heating figure is worth noting — at 6.0kW it exceeds the cooling capacity by a fifth, which suits Hunter Valley winters where a living area needs to come up to temperature quickly on a cold morning.
This model moves to Daikin’s larger Cora chassis: 295 x 990 x 263 mm indoor at 13kg, with a 54kg outdoor unit at 695 x 930 x 350 mm. It also lifts the installation limits to a 30m pipe run and 20m height difference, which opens up outdoor unit positions that the smaller chassis cannot reach — useful on two-storey homes or where the only sensible location is around the far side of the house.
Coanda Airflow, the 2-Area Intelligent Eye sensor and the Enzyme Blue filter all carry over. Wi-Fi remains an optional adaptor.
