▾The FTXV71WVMA pairs with the RXV71WVMA outdoor unit for 7.1kW rated cooling and 8.0kW rated heating, modulating from 2.0kW to 8.9kW in cooling. The outdoor unit is the heaviest in the range at 60kg on the 695 x 930 x 350 mm chassis, with 30m pipe and 20m height limits.
Note the modulating floor: 2.0kW, against 1.1kW on the 5.0 and 6.0kW models. A unit this size cannot throttle as far down proportionally, so in a space that only occasionally needs full output it will cycle more than a smaller unit would. That is the practical argument for not over-specifying.
