R32 has a substantially lower global warming potential than R410A. Daikin requires R32 ducted indoor units to be installed in the ceiling space, not under floor.

Rated input is 4.30kW cooling and 4.50kW heating. That is a heavy single-phase load and the main reason we check supply capacity carefully at this size.

Seasonal cooling efficiency holds up well at 3.87 TCSPF in the average zone — barely below the smaller units, which is the useful characteristic of inverter ducted systems. Because they modulate across a wide range and spend most of their operating life at part load, the capacity penalty seen on large wall-mounted splits largely does not apply here.

Zoning remains the biggest lever on running cost. A system this size conditioning only the occupied half of the house costs far less to run than one pushing air into every room.

This system pairs the FDYAN140AV1 indoor unit with the RZA140CV1 outdoor unit, on a 240V single-phase supply, with a maximum pipe run of 50m.
